DOD Doctors Claim 7-Year-Olds Can Consent To Sex Changes

Not only is it horrifying to consider a 7yo being allowed to consent to procedures to change their sex (when they can’t even choose their own bedtime), but it’s horrifying to consider that this is a priority to America’s military. This is what they care about? Seven year olds getting hormones that will permanently damage their bodies and minds? Y’all, my almost 7-year-old is scared of the fake creepy Endermen in the Minecraft video game. He still believes in Santa Claus. He doesn’t even get to set his own bedtime or he’d choose to stay up way too late and make himself sick. Because children are not developmentally mature enough to be making decisions for themselves because they cannot distinguish fantasy from reality, nor do they have the capacity to make good-judgement decisions impacting their future.

But Pentagon doctors said in the March edition of the American Journal of Public Health that the best option for military kids who may present with symptoms of gender dysphoria is to immediately begin “gender-affirming health care, such as puberty suppression and affirming hormones” because these children “have an inherent ability and right to consent to gender-affirming therapy.” They claim that children as young as 7 are capable of their own “medical decision-making.” I’m sorry, but that’s ridiculous. Kids cannot possibly comprehend the specifics or consequences of the kind of medical decisions these doctors claim they can make that will permanently alter and even damage their bodies. What happened to the oath to do no harm?

Meanwhile, China is creating a super-alliance and convincing countries around the globe to ditch the American dollar and cut America out of a huge amount of global commerce and cooperation. With stupid priorities like those of our military, who even needs enemies?
