I genuinely don’t know which is worse, AI or DEI.
Fortunately, Levi’s has made things easy for me by doing the most cursed merger ever: the jeans giant will now be using AI models in addition to their human ones to create “‘a more personal and inclusive shopping experience.”
The brand announced that it will be partnering with Lalaland.ai to provide shoppers with the chance to see what their products look like in different shapes, sizes, and colors. They explain,
“We know our customers want to shop with models who look like them, and we believe our models should reflect our consumers, which is why we’re continuing to diversify our human models in terms of size and body type, age and skin color. This AI technology can potentially assist us by supplementing models and unlocking a future where we can enable customers to see our products on more models that look like themselves, creating a more personal and inclusive shopping experience.”
Because nothing says inclusion like. . . using robots to approximate the image of a human rather than just hiring a diverse group of actual human beings who require actual income to live in this actual world?
I mean, good Lord, does virtue signaling get emptier than this?? You can’t pretend to care about “marginalized” or “unpopular” or [insert victim vocab of the day] bodies when your solution is to digitally recreate those bodies. Robots aren’t wearing your clothes, Levi. Humans are. And as diverse as human bodies are, they’re not so disparate that they can’t be represented by a tiny fraction of the models working today.
I hate how SJW-y I sound here, but this is so colossally stupid that their default arguments actually hold some merit. Did you clock that? It’s SO BAD, even SJWs seem smart in comparison.
This is just all the worst things of the 2020s packaged up nicely into one terrible idea. Inauthentic companies, AI, and wokeism are all rolled into this single affront to humanity. Thanks, I hate it.

How about you give them your measurements and send them a picture. They then create a digital image of how the clothes look on an actual you. The picture could just be of you from the neck down so they would not have your face.
So we had to fire all of the human models and instead use Ai generated ones to push our diversity goals because we could not find any humans that fit our diversity goals?
Each and every day, some woke person or group ratchets the insanity up another notch. How much more can we go until it all collapses into total ruin?
Of all the jobs automation could take over modelling was not very high on my list.
Welp time to go try to become a better battery!
How about, just give me the freaking measurements? Thigh and calf specifically (since guys already get the waist and inseam). I don’t care how they look on three dozen different skinny jeans wearing A.i. soyboys. Not that it really matters with Levi’s since I will never buy from them again and their jeans haven’t fit since I hit puberty and gained leg muscle.
