Well, we can driving to the lengthy list of things that have now been deemed racist. I mean, they already decided highways are racist, so it makes sense that driving would be racist, too. When I first saw a screenshot of this LA Times story, I thought for sure it was a fake. I often have to double check whether a supposed headline screenshot is real or photoshopped. Turns out this one is real.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, driving is now racist. The official headline for this ridiculous story is, “How white and affluent drivers are polluting the air breathed by L.A.’s people of color.” They say it like the white and affluent people aren’t breathing the same air. And are they using “white” and “affluent” synonymously, or are they lumping anyone of any skin color who is “affluent” as being the same as “white?” Reminds me of Biden’s “poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids” comment.
According to the article, a new USC study found that people in Los Angeles who drive more are exposed to less air pollution, while those who drive less are exposed to more air pollution. The author says,
“It may sound like a paradox, but it’s not. It’s a function of the racism that shaped this city and its suburbs, and continues to influence our daily lives — and a stark reminder of the need for climate solutions that benefit everyone.”
So are the affluent people of color who drive somehow not polluting the air for the white people who don’t drive? Is everyone just supposed to give up driving because some people don’t drive? Y’all, when everything is racist, then nothing is really racist. The word loses its potency when it suddenly becomes a catch-all for everything and everyone that you don’t like or agree with.

Good lord these people are such a one trick pony but it’s terrifying how many people are stupid enough to fall for it.
