February 17, 2023I don’t know if y’all watched Ricky Gervais’ Afterlife on Netflix – but I did, and I loved it. I bawled like a baby during several episodes, and thought he did just a marvelous job acting in it. It’s about him losing his wife to cancer, coping with the ensuing depression, and it’s just a heartbreakingly lovely story. This scene, when he interviews children suffering from cancer, and one of them shares the name of his late wife – it just is UNBEARABLE, y’all.
For some reason, he’s been posting some of the most gut-wrenching clips from that show lately, making me cry all over again. But this? This is from a performance of his I haven’t yet seen – from the show Derek – and it broke my heart wide open.
I AM SOBBING AGAIN.
Anyway, sorry y’all, but I couldn’t be the only one who had to be exposed to this today.
