February 8, 2023I’ve been seeing a lot of videos recently featuring biological males who pretend to be women and who are claiming that they are having periods. They often go so far as to complain about their supposedly horrific fake period symptoms. Which is weird because they are biologically incapable of having a period because they lack the necessary female-specific organs to produce the necessary hormones and carry out the necessary reproductive processes. They’re claiming that by artificially injecting female hormones into their body, they are suddenly experiencing the symptoms of periods. This makes no sense to anyone with two braincells and a basic understanding of biology, but people don’t (can’t) usually talk about how it’s preposterous and impossible. We don’t (can’t) usually talk about how these pretend period symptoms very likely a delusion stemming from underlying mental illness.
This woman does say all those things, and she’s uniquely qualified to do so. She’s a biological woman who has had a medically necessary oophorectomy, or the complete removal of the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and cervix. She now lacks all the female-specific organs biologically necessary to have a period, just like biological men who pretend to be women. She is also taking the same hormone replacement therapy that these biological men are taking when they claim to suddenly be having faux periods. Listen to her school these guys on biology and even suggest that these supposed period symptoms are simply a psychosomatic product of their mental illness.

Sorry but letting these people play pretend is damaging to themselves and ultimately damaging to society as a whole.
Gender in it’s current incarnation can only be used to tell a lie.
They’ve created a system where gender and sex are distinct but also both use subcategories of man and woman or even male and female.
If you are woman gender and woman sex, no useful information is gained. Same for man.
If you are woman gender and man sex, then useful information is lost as your reproductive capabilities are being hidden.
This is even ignoring the fact that by modifying the definition of woman you have effectively modified the legal system which was very clearly written before the woman gender category was separated from the woman sex category. All the while they try to force the gender system to be used even though very clearly the sex based system is what was intended.
What most irritates me about this is that the guy who wrote one of the more recent DSMs that introduced the Gender Identity concept basically said it was a poor explanation of why trans people exist yet it’s been elevated to the most important aspect of the human experience when by scientific standards it’s garbage since it doesn’t have a null hypothesis.
