Obviously, I’m joking. You can say whatever you want.
But just know that there are NEW words/phrases that are ruffling the feathers of The Woke, and as usual, they are completely harmless phrases used since forever. I swear, The Woke just LOVE being and staying outraged.
According to this, certain common phrases which we all use all the time are now being deemed too “violent” to utter out loud. Allow me to give you some examples.

Kill two birds with one stone
Shoot me an email
Beat a dead horse

I’m not making this up. The list above is not exhaustive.
Some batsh*t weirdo named Anna Taylor, who is a communications director and “champion” of diversity, equity and inclusion at a company called Phenomenex, is the author of a guidebook which lists the above and many other phrases as verboten because of their violent nature.
She said, about her guidebook, “The guide is for those who would like to replace mostly violently framed idioms with more positive and inclusive language.”
If you’re a person who spends any time at all thinking about how to de-violence popular and commonly used English phrases, maybe you should rethink your life.
But there are a bunch of sheep out there who are nodding their heads to all of this, going along with it all, all the while likely rocking out to WAP by Cardi B as they make mental notes to soften their language.
A sociologist at the University of Kent, Frank Furedi, weighed in on this incessant need by Woke-ists to change language. He said, “Some people might regard these ultra-woke suggestions as harmless and even amusing. But it’s not funny at all because the re-engineering of language subverts the way we think and our way of life. There’s a tendency now to inflate in an alarmist way the meaning of words. They are attributing to these phrases the worst possible motives, rather than taking a step back and seeing these expressions have got nothing to do with violent intent.”
But context never matters to these wackjobs. Intention never matters. All that matters is that they want to control how others speak and feel and live their lives.
Push back. Do not bend to the woke mob.

This conversation reminds of chapter 5 in Orwell’s 1984. Our hero Winston Smith is having a conversation with an acquaintance whose job is to weed all unneccesary language out of the new “official” language, NewSpeak. By reducing the language, the plan is to reduce what people could even think about.
Here’s the gist of that conversation in chapter 5.
“Don’t you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of
thought? In the end we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible, because
there will be no words in which to express it. Every concept that can ever
be needed, will be expressed by exactly one word, with its meaning rigidly
defined and all its subsidiary meanings rubbed out and forgotten. Already, in
the Eleventh Edition, we’re not far from that point. But the process will still be
continuing long after you and I are dead. Every year fewer and fewer words, and
the range of consciousness always a little smaller. Even now, of course, there’s
no reason or excuse for committing thoughtcrime. It’s merely a question of
self-discipline, reality-control. But in the end there won’t be any need even for
that. The Revolution will be complete when the language is perfect. Newspeak
is Ingsoc and Ingsoc is Newspeak,’ he added with a sort of mystical satisfaction.
’Has it ever occurred to you, Winston, that by the year 2050, at the very latest,
not a single human being will be alive who could understand such a conversation
as we are having now?’
This is what the left is now doing with our language. I urge everyone who reads this to get a copy of 1984 and read it. Orwell saw all this coming.
I was thinking of exactly the same passage. Scary when what ought to be fiction is being used as a how-to manual!

Honestly we’ve already got a generation that has seemingly never faced any hardship worse than someone using a pronoun they don’t want used to reference them. Getting rid of “violent language” is going to leave them unable to deal with reality when it comes crashing down as the generations that were protecting them are no longer present.
Is “beating around the bush” considered “violent, too?
clearly it’s transphobic toward trans lesbians.
It depends on whose bush is being beaten around.
