Have You Seen Boston’s Bizarre New MLK Statue?

You can add Boston to the list of places that have bizarre, unattractive, and even hilariously inappropriate art. This weekend, Boston got its first glimpse of a new MLK tribute statue called “Embrace Boston.” It’s 2 sets of disembodied arms and hands embracing each other. Seriously, they want a bust of Zelenskyy in the Capitol Building, but MLK doesn’t even get a head? And y’all, from one side of the statue, it looks like a pair of hands hefting a massive penis. I mean, depending on the angle, there’s kind of a head after all, just not the head the people want to see… If your mind isn’t quite as dirty, it might also be a giant turd. Either way, it’s not at all beautiful or impressive. It’s ugly and dumb. How unfortunate for such an influential and heroic American historical figure.

It’s supposedly base on a famous picture of Martin Luther King. But clearly, this artist did not think through the fact that people will be viewing this statue from different angles, one of which would look like a massive penis. But I’m sure that anyone who doesn’t like this statue will be called a racist, because that’s how things are these days.
