December 20, 2022One of the most terrifying parts of this story is the realization that activists like this are licensed professionals to whom troubled and suffering people are referred for help. According to local reporting by the Maine Wire, a partially licensed social worker in a Maine government school allegedly “coached a 13-year-old girl into a gender transition without telling her parents.” The story came out at a school board meeting where the girl’s mother revealed that she found a chest binder in her daughter’s room, which the girl said was given to her secretly by a social worker at her school. This apparently led to the discovery that the school social worker had been helping the young girl to socially transition and even encouraging her to keep it a secret from her parents.
According to the mother, she then found out that Sam Roy, the 26-year-old UMaine grad student who has only a conditional license as a social worker, was conspiring with other school staff to secretly socially gender transition the 13 year old girl behind her mother’s back by using male pronouns at school. Ms. Lavigne, the mother, said,
“A social worker at the school encouraged a student to keep a secret from her parents. This is the very definition of child predatory sexual grooming. Predators work to gain a victims’ trust by driving a wedge between them and their parents.”
To make matters worse, the school has thus far refused to answer questions about the allegations made by this mother at the school board meeting, or about school policies on related subjects. Instead, they are working overtime to scrub their school website and social media accounts. Because that doesn’t wreak of wrongdoing and coverup…
Hopefully, this incident will prevent this man from become fully licensed as a social worker in Maine or any other state. But this highlights a major issue I think we face today. How many radical woke activists are licensed professionals to whom troubled or ill people go for help, only to find validation from professional activists who celebrate the very things these people need help with? How many struggling and easily suggestible teens go for counseling for depression, anxiety, or self esteem issues, only to be counseled by a professional activist into mutilating their bodies and further confusing their minds? It’s like referring a self-conscious and depressed girl to a therapist who thinks anorexia is healthy and empowering, and who counsels the girl into becoming anorexic to make her life happier and help her feel more empowered. Then they would insist that the girl and society celebrate the girl’s choice to be anorexic. It’s terrifying. I’ve written several articles that highlight this terrifying phenomenon, including this one about a queer therapist who say he dupes “transphobic” parents into bringing their troubled kids to him so he can validate their gender confusion, and this one about a therapist who insists that pedophilia is simply a sexual identity and that pedophiles are being vilified and marginalized by society.
I fear this is destroying the credibility of mental health professionals and might dissuade people from seeking and getting the help they need, much like COVID has destroyed the credibility of scientific and medical professionals. They have proven to the public that their industries have been captured by partisan activists who are agenda-driven, and people are wary of seeking help from people like that.

These leftists always assume the worse about parents. They stereotype parents. They are judgmental towards parents. They have a bias against parents. They marginalize parents. They are parentalphobes. They are parentalphobic. Any of this sound familiar? It’s all the things they claim not to be.
Psychology and it’s related fields have always had problems with “pop” phenomenon more so than most fields as it’s one that relies almost exclusively on abstractions instead of physical objects. They get a new hammer and suddenly everything becomes nails. The current trend reminds me very much of electroshock therapy and lobotomies of old, though this one a bit more nefarious as it aligns with a few political ideologies to a certain extent.
