The Left would love to kill comedy because it’s often offensive, and being offensive has become a serious crime in our society. Comedy often shines a light on hypocrisy and idiocy. It calls out stupidity. Comedy can mock those who think they are impervious to mockery, like basically everyone on the Left. In fact, that was the whole point of the original art of professional comedy–the court jester. A court jester could make fun of and shine a harsh light on the king and the court when no one else could. But the Left considers this dangerous to their narrative, which it is, and therefore they have labeled it as being literally “dangerous” so they can censor it. Because to the Left, anything they don’t like or don’t agree with is basically violence against someone, which is justification for censorship.
The Babylon Bee, one of the greatest satire sites currently in existence, previously had their account locked for “misgendering” the biologically male transgender Biden Administration official Rachel Levine when they named him their “man of the year.” This was hilarious because USA Today had just named the biological male one of their “women of the year,” basically spitting in the faces of hardworking and exemplary biological women everywhere. Interestingly, this particular account censorship was what gave Elon Musk the push he needed to pull the trigger and buy Twitter.
But of The Babylon Bee, Twitter’s former head of Trust and Safety Yoel Roth says, “Not only is it not funny, it is dangerous.” Because everything they don’t like or don’t agree with is violence, which is dangerous. How DARE The Babylon Bee name a biological man their “man of the year” when that man identifies himself as a woman! That’s violence and that’s dangerous, so they MUST be silenced! Making a joke about a biological male being a man is basically piling onto the “targeting and the victimization of the trans community on Twitter” which Roth explains is “very real, very life-threatening, and extraordinarily serious.”
Roth defends the decision to ban @TheBabylonBee: "Not only is it not funny, it is dangerous"

Kara Swisher, no fan of the Babylon Bee, gently disagrees — noting that the account was engaged in satire. "It's still misgendering," Roth insists pic.twitter.com/BlwksaKDH3
He also points out other conservative accounts which he deems to be “dangerous,” specifically including Libs Of TikTok. If you’re unfamiliar with the account, it literally just reposts the content others uploaded of their own free will and choice, and makes millions of concerned citizens aware of what these people are publicly saying online. That’s all they do. And somehow that’s “dangerous.” Really, it’s only dangerous to their Leftist agenda and narrative because then people can see what’s really going on and be more informed about the current state of social affairs, and therefore more equipped and motivated to fight back.

Yeah I’m glad this guy is not working at Twitter anymore. He clearly is a snowflake.
“It’s still misgendering”
By what rules of gender?
Grammatical or self asserted gender identity?
