Illinois really has become a beacon of stupidity in recent years. As a former resident of the state, I’ve always maintained that the citizens are great, but the people running the place are idiots.
So, it was of little surprise to me when I saw that the Illinois Prison Project was actively seeking clemency from Governor JB Pritzker for an evil, murderous scumbag. You know, someone we all REALLY want back on the streets. #Priorities
The piece of garbage in question is Robert G. Turner, who was convicted of murdering and raping 16-year-old Bridget Drobney in 1985. Drobney was on her way to a wedding when Turner and two other men posed as cops to get her to pull over. They then raped and killed Drobney in a corn field in Macoupin County.
“At his trial, Turner’s sister testified he told her Bridget was making noise – so he stabbed her,” CBS News reported.
SOUNDS LIKE A NICE GUY.
The fact that this man is still using up perfectly good oxygen is beyond me. And what makes matters worse is Turner was originally sentenced to death—BUT LO AND BEHOLD Governor George Ryan decided to commute the sentences of all Illinois death row inmates to life sentences in 2003. Now Illinois taxpayers get the lovely task of paying to feed and house scumbags like Turner for years.
…Or not, if the Illinois Prison Project decides you’re worth letting out, despite being a murderer and a rapist.
Our justice system is clearly broken if you can go from admitting to a murder, being given the death sentence, and then having a clemency hearing in the same lifetime. This request is laughable and should be treated as such.
“If the governor does grant his clemency, he’s sending a message to the people of Illinois. He’s sending a message that says it’s okay to murder children in our state,” said Kelly Drobney Weaver, Bridget’s sister.
Turner’s clemency hearing is set for January 10, 2023. I’d be more confident that his request would be denied if Pritzker wasn’t in charge—but this dude has a history of not caring about kids dying—and he just sucks in general. I hope for the family’s sake (and the rest of society) that Turner stays locked up. And I guess we will all find out in January if Pritzker has any brain cells left. We can dare to dream.

Why is this maggot still alive?
Yeah. That’s coming wackthere.
We live in a society that all but encourages women to prematurely end a pregnancy. This isn’t all that much of a stretch is it?
