I suppose we all knew this day would come, whether it was with hope or dismay. Donald Trump announced that he will be running for president in 2024.
In a speech given from his Mar-a-Lago home, Trump announced, “In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States.”
The address was a little less pizazzy than we’ve come to expect from Trump (CNN predictably characterized it as a “relatively subdued speech, rife with spurious and exaggerated claims,” just in case you needed a reminder that they are a joke) , but the message was clear: The country’s in the sh*tter, and Trump is the only one who can save us.

“We are a nation in decline,” he went on to say. “For millions of Americans, the past two years under Joe Biden have been a time of pain, hardship, anxiety and despair.”
Naturally, (social) media is in an uproar. The “legitimate” news outlets all had their talking points ready– it almost feels like they focus grouped this like, a year and a half ago.

Among voters and politicians, the response has, predictably, been mixed. Support has been quick to surface– Kari Lake, for example, jumped to endorse him— but disapproval, though quick and decisive from libertarians and liberals, has been relatively slow to surface among Republicans. (And Ron DeSantis is literally just way too busy to give a flying fart.)
Like I said, we knew this day would come. Now that it’s here, how do YOU feel?

The Return of the Donald wiser about the DC swamp knowing now the democrats have no principles, morals, or ethics they think nothing of lying, saying what people want to here only, in the game for personal financial gratification We all know now that the democrats can’t govern just look at the status of our Country. Trump. is still a business man, what our Country needs, not the self interest groups of the DC swamp playing a game of power, control and of course money. Mr. Trump will have my vote hope the rest of the Country feels the same way, we need hard people in office who honor our Constitution, their oath of office and be of service to the America people. America first is the call too arms for our future, energy free, no shortages. The corruption must stop or else we will have no United States.
Make America Great and Glorious again
MAGAGA?
Meh. He’ll be the party nominee before I even get a chance to vote in a primary, so I guess I don’t have a choice. But I’m not excited about having another 4 years of JObama and his ilk running the White House, the Senate, and the House. Because all DJT will do is energize a liberal base that barely showed up this mid-term and we ALMOST didn’t take the House and LOST a seat (or two?) in the Senate.
I liked his first run, but his childlike tantrums on social media (and even general media) turned me off on his “leadership” ability. He’s too polarizing and all he’ll do is wreck the chances for anyone else running against him.
