Joe Biden is the gift that keeps on giving. Not in like, a Jelly of the Month Club way, where it’s not what you wanted but at least you get jelly. It’s in an explosive diarrhea way, in that it’s literally so bad that I am reduced to making poop jokes to even get close to how bad it is.
Just watch.

Oh lawd. Okay. Well, let’s start with the obvious– that is, the one so obvious that even Biden caught himself. The current war is in Ukraine. Not Iraq. And in fairness, for someone who’s been in politics for. . . [checks notes] 687 years, it’s fair enough to get your wars mixed up. At least he didn’t say the shores of Normandy, am I right?
So, sure, he recovers. Sort of. Biden explains his mistake away, saying he was thinking of Iraq because “that’s where [his] son died.” Except he didn’t. Beau Biden, though he served in Iraq, died of brain cancer in Maryland. It’s not the first time he’s said that, either, which begs the question: Is Joe actively lying about what happened to his son, or does he actually think Beau died in Iraq? Either way, it’s a bad look.
But juuuuuust in case you want it to look even worse, let’s compare this hot mess to another similarly geriatric president’s identical mistake:

One man has enough wits to remember his past decisions (and how people felt about them) and turn it into a joke. The other just clarifies by saying something equally inaccurate.
And, dear Lord, the second one is in charge.

“shroes of Normandy”?
They are right next to Normandy’s many lovely lkaes.
So when you take a habitual liar who is very much suffering cognitive decline I believe you end up with a man who now believes all of his lies. Sadly we went from the media documenting all the “lies and deceptive statements” of the President to literally excusing them all because they are very much partisan hacks who should not be allowed to be labeled news.
