It’s official, y’all. Elon Musk became the new head honcho of Twitter as of today. I’m here for it, to say the least, and I’m looking forward to seeing a new era of Twitter with him at the helm.
He tweeted out the following to existing and potential Twitter advertisers:
Dear Twitter Advertisers pic.twitter.com/GMwHmInPAS
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) October 27, 2022
Here is the letter in its entirety:

Of course, the letter was met with mixed reactions. All on Twitter, of course. I think it’s a great start to what I and others believe will be some welcome changes in the company. And I really do hope that something extraordinary comes of it, as opposed to the conservative-squelching, anti-freedom-of-speech cesspool of suck that it presently is.
Godspeed, Elon.

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be “cured” against one’s will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.” – C.S. Lewis
I’d much rather deal with Musk, who is motivated by greed, than by ideologues.
Nothing beats a good Lewis quote in the morning. Thanks for this, Random!
So is anybody staring the pool on how long till the fbi and doj raid Elon and arrest him for being double-plus ungood?
The raid begins in 5…4…3…
