Lindsey Graham, an establishment GOP career politician, is once again showing his true colors by basically sabotaging conservatives and Republicans right before critical midterm elections. He recently announced and has been pushing a “National Abortion Ban” bill, and I’m honestly furious about it. This cartoon captures my feelings on the subject exactly.

Here’s the issue for me. I fundamentally oppose abortion. I don’t like it, I don’t support it, I think it’s morally wrong. But I also think it’s important to elect conservative Republicans who are willing to fight for our nation and our society against the destruction provided by the Left, which means getting more voters on board in order to get these candidates elected. And I think that Lindsey Graham doing exactly this at exactly this time will do nothing but sabotage a potentially massive Red Wave in November. He’s doing the ONE thing that will drive fence-sitting voters straight to Democrat candidates. Think of all the centrists or left-leaners who are fed up with the state of the country, economy, and society, and who have been seriously considering voting for Republican candidates in order to rectify all the issues created by the Democrat party in the last two years.
A lot of them were frustrated by the SCOTUS decision to overturn Roe because they don’t agree with completely banning abortion. But they’re also sick and tired of historically high inflation, historically high crime, historically high illegal immigration, indoctrination in schools, COVID authoritarianism, and the partisan capturing of various government and professional organizations. While polls showed that the SCOTUS decision DID scare off a few fence-sitters, there are still a LOT of people who are (or were) willing to vote Republican after seeing what voting Democrat has done in just 2 years. And Lindsey Graham decided to go out there at the MOST critical time, just before the midterm elections, and basically say, “All your worst fears about voting Republican are completely justified so you’d better not vote for Republicans or I’m going to try to do the ONE thing you care about more than anything else.” He’s just campaigning for Democrats at this point, because now they can say, “See! That’s what’s going to happen if you vote Republican!”
Not to mention this is a stupid bill to push because the Supreme Court literally JUST ruled that abortion ISN’T a federal issue. It’s a STATE issue. It’s up to the STATES to decide whether to ban abortions at 15 weeks or 6 weeks or not at all. Which means it is NOT a national issue, therefore a “National Abortion Ban” is ill-advised. So why is he all of a sudden trying to make it a federal thing again?
Pushing a “National Abortion Ban” will do absolutely nothing except to force potential voters directly into the arms of the Democrat politicians who have made this country the disaster it is right now. It risks Republican candidates losing tight races in key locations, which would give Democrats more power to continue to enact destruction on every aspect of the country and society. And apparently, that’s exactly what Lindsey Graham wants. He’s not an idiot, but he is a career politician. He knows exactly what he’s doing and he’s doing it intentionally.

Never underestimate Republicans’ ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
My guess is money. Abortion was a great fundraiser for Republicans, but they never actually did anything about it. Now that we won (without Congress), the “establishment” has to find another way to get that sweet, sweet cash.
His bill is unconstitutional, and he knows it. The only federal action that can be constitutional is an amendment to the Constitution to either allow or prohibit abortion. Neither would be ratified. This moron is a swamp dweller and a republicrat. They are all in this together for personal enrichment. Both major parties’ elites are corrupt, and they are scared to death of honorable people.
