On the night of May 28th, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to a crash involving Paul Pelosi, husband of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. At the time, the CHP performed field sobriety tests which they explained were warranted because officers “observed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication,” including slurred speech and unsteadiness on his feet. Interestingly, he handed them an “11-99 Foundation” card, a CHP foundation that provides emergency assistance to CHP employees and their families, along with his driver’s license when asked for his ID.
Ultimately, Pelosi had more than 2 hours to let the alcohol burn off before police took a blood sample, at which time his blood alcohol content was still above the legal limit at .082%. He was subsequently charged with DUI, to which he just pled guilty to avoid more jail time.
Along with the announcement of the guilty plea, the highly anticipated video dashcam footage of the police interaction with Pelosi was released. Jesse Waters, who has been all over California Highway Patrol to release the dashcam footage and be transparent about the incident, played the highlights on his primetime FOX show.
I especially like the moment during the sobriety test when the officer tells the obviously unsteady Pelosi, “I really don’t want you to fall over and hurt yourself.” Another gem is when Pelosi informs the officers that he is “a high-profile person.”

Even TMZ was surprised by the photos of the crash that were also released, commenting on the fact that the crash looks “worse than reports initially indicated.” Well, of course they do! Why are they surprised that “reports” downplayed the severity of the DUI crash caused by the extremely drunk husband of the Speaker of the House during a time when Democrats, especially Nancy Pelosi, are already being heavily criticized? They’re not going to let the public see how bad it really was if they can downplay it and minimize the damage of the story.
Paul Pelosi's crash site from his DUI arrest looks worse than reports initially indicated … as evidenced by the photos you can now see from the scene. https://t.co/sDCOpaHNoA

You know what p*sses me off the most about yesterday? The DA, when asked about the lenient sentencing, blamed Fox News for reporting A) the incident at all; and B) the FACTS about it. “Oh, well, people are just wanting him prosecuted because Republicans are evil!” The condescension and patronizing tone she took was almost too much for me. Listen, the victim handed over his medical records to the judge, which indicated he was injured WAAAAY worse than originally reported. THAT in itself should have escalated the case into Felony territory. HE COULDN’T EVEN BE BOTHERED TO SHOW UP IN COURT, HIMSELF! I mean WTAF?!?!?! I hope the victim sues the ever living snot out of the Pelosis!
Per the video, Paul Pelosi put the “high” in high profile! Can you imagine the firestorm had this been the husband of Marjorie Taylor Greene being sloshed out of his mind while driving? Not only would he get thrown into the clink, he’d lose his driver’s license and his driving privileges altogether — PERMANENTLY!
