So, you know how social media companies use “third party fact checkers” to excuse their rampant and overt commie-style censorship across platforms? We saw it the most with basically anything related to Covid. If you were a doctor or scientist who wanted to discuss/debate/question whatever the current narrative-du-jour was from the White House? NO. Not allowed. You were suspended or banned altogether for the heinous crime of “misinformation” or worse still “disinformation.” It doesn’t matter that many of the discussions those very health professionals wanted to have are now being proven accurate. What mattered was protecting the narrative above all else. Because as we all know, there isn’t anything more important to this administration than power and control.
We saw it most egregiously, perhaps, with the Hunter Biden laptop story that got legitimate reporting by the New York Post wiped off of social media platforms just ahead of Biden’s “election.”
And now? Now it’s happening all over again.
According to the sourcelink, FB and IG are starting to flag/censor posts that correctly accuse the Biden administration of trying to alter the definition of “recession” to downplay the disastrous effect its policies have had on the economy.
On our daily livestream, we’ve been featuring clips of various talking heads from the WH trying to convince everyone that the long standing definition of recession actually ISN’T the definition of recession, and also clips of those same folks insisting that we’re not in one. It’s entirely possible we’ll see those videos pulled, because HOW DARE WE question the narrative of this White House, amirite?
Get this. Graham Allen, according to the sourcelink, posted a video on IG in which he asked Siri to define “recession.” Siri CORRECTLY DEFINED IT with the longstanding definition, and now there’s a warning label slapped on the video. Same on FB.
In case there’s any question about the definition, allow Bill Clinton to give you a refresher.
Here is Bill Clinton defining what a recession is over 20 years ago:

Oh.
Let’s see how Big Tech manages to censor that.
The main fact-checking culprit is PolitiFact, EVEN THOUGH PolitiFact itself has also used the longstanding definition of recession to give cover to Democrats when they’ve accused Republicans of creating recession-ripe conditions. I say longstanding because until Joe Biden caused the current recession, there has never been a question about the definition being two consecutive quarters of negative growth.
The reason PolitiFact feels like they can give Biden cover in this case is because the WH keeps insisting that they’re getting their working definition of recession from the National Bureau of Economic Research, which is not at all the Decision Making Overlord on this issue.
This kind of “fact-checking” should really frighten every thinking American, because it’s entirely UN-American. As the sourcelink article says:
These are concerning mistakes. Media organizations routinely get things wrong, but the premise of fact-checkers was supposed to be that they are somehow above the fray, only weighing in when something can be proven or disproven quite definitively. Instead, they are often making dubious judgment calls on issues where reasonable disagreements exist.
Last week, YouTube removed our video entirely from its platform because of our discussion on this very topic with respect to Covid. If you missed that story, check it out right here. Interestingly, we spent the large part of that video talking about the WH’s attempt to word-play itself out of the fact that the US is, in fact, in a recession. So if it wasn’t gonna get pulled down for our Covid discussion, it likely would get pulled down for the recession discussion. And in both cases, it’s utterly asinine for YouTube to arbitrarily decide that our conversation shouldn’t happen and shouldn’t be seen/heard.
We’ve even jumped Orwell’s shark at this point. I guess we’re gonna have to start calling it a ession-recay.

Well the Democrats are trying to redefine America by completely destroying it.
This is a case where both sides are “correct”, though the Biden Administration is only a little correct. Two down quarters does NOT define a recession, the National Bureau of Economic Research determines if there was a recession after the fact, but two down quarters has been the definition for “recession” right now since people started calling them recessions.
Also Wikipedia has changed the definition and locked the page, I suspect Webster’s will be next (if they haven’t done so already).
Clinton asked what the definition of the word “is” is.
A Supreme Court Justice can’t define the word “woman”.
Biden can’t define “recession”.
But they can tell you with certainty that there are at least 50 genders!
This re-defining move comes from page 17 of the Far Left Playbook. When you look bad, move the goal posts.
If we’re not in a recession, then there’s nothing to recover from. Biden is just genuinely f*cking the economy then.
