I was surfing Twitter yesterday when I came across this gem of an interview:
Which party founded the KKK? pic.twitter.com/H0OzrSu6Kv

Americans need history lessons more than Kamala needs a decent speech writer.
This is exactly why knowing your history is so important.
Democrats think that Republicans don’t value diversity and equality, which is, historically, untrue. We simply prioritize equal opportunity over equal outcome.
Just take a minute and ponder what would happen if people actually knew the truth about our nation’s political history. Would your average Dem change sides if they found out how intolerant their party’s views have been in the past? After all, intolerance is something they claim to vehemently despise.
Or. . . would they dig their heels in and call it a Russian smear campaign?
I’m guessing it would be the latter, but at least then I would know they held their views because they were hypocritical instead of uneducated.
This comes back to the same argument I’ve made on this site many times before: kids aren’t getting what they need in school. They’re taught to hate America based on misconceptions and lies (as is evident in virtually every man-on-the-street interview with historical questions).
It’s all part of the bigger picture, of course. If people don’t know any better, then they’ll just regurgitate what they’re told until the lies become the new truth, until there’s nobody left who knows what really happened. Everybody just falls in line, votes how they’re expected to, and waits for the government to take care of the rest.
If kids aren’t getting what they need at school, then the materials need to be provided at home. Now that the Tuttle Twins are considered a form of “indoctrination,” I would start there.
Nothing screams “indoctrination” like learning about your constitutional rights. . .

Democrats will be the first to cry out “the parties switched! Republicans are the racist ones now!”
NO! It was DEMOCRATS that opposed the Voter Rights Act in 1965. Bull Connor, one of the most ardent supporters of “segregation yesterday, segregation today, segregation forever” was a DEMOCRAT. Take that “party switched” BS, write it on a piece of paper, crumple it up, and shove it because it’s a bold faced lie.
I like taking the “the parties switched” people through the timeline, ask about each major Democrat figure and if he/she is now a Republican. Wilson, FDR, Johnson, H. Clinton, Obama- all believe about the same stuff, all Democrats, so when exactly was this “switch”. I have never received an answer. If I’m feeling especially argumentative that day, I might throw in the fact that FDR’s administration loved Mussolini.
Technically the voting habits of certain states switched but this is because the demographics switched through the generations not because the racists all suddenly thought Republicans were better. The irony is that they constantly complain about “systemic racism” which seems to be manifest in Democrat controlled areas far more than in Republican ones but nope, Republicans are the racist ones.
The party that claims that we aren’t properly teaching history are those who regularly try to rewrite their own.
