Our New Comments Section Is Up And Running! Here’s What You Need To Know.

It’s taken a little longer than we’d hoped, but we finally have an operable comment section on posts here now. I know some folks will be disappointed about its simplicity and lack of bells and whistles, but it’s what we could afford, and what makes the most sense for us.

A few things to note. In order to comment, you’ll be asked to enter your name and email address. Naturally, there are trolls out there who’ll use fake names and emails, and if they get too tiresome, we may move to a registered-user-only set-up, but for now, I’m quite enjoying troll-hunting and systematically removing/blocking weirdos from the site. Here’s a nice example.

So yeah. If you see in the next week or so that registration is required to comment, it’ll be because I’ve stopped enjoying troll-hunting. 🙂

If you’re not familiar with basic HTML coding to bold, italicize, or otherwise fancify your comments, here’s a quick little guide.

1. To make a word bold: Use <b> in front of the word and </b> after it – same goes for bolding whole sentences.

2. To make a word italicized: Use <i> in front of the word and </i>after it – same goes for italicizing whole sentences.

3. To underline a word: Use <u> in front of the word/words and </u> after.

If you wanna add emojis, you can use the keyboard emoticons to make ALL THE FACES. If you need a guide, here’s a quick and easy list right here.

Gifs and images won’t be available on this commenting platform. I know, I know. You’re furious and you hate everything and WHY WOULD WE DO THIS TO YOU. You LOVED being able to post gifs and pictures and memes. HOW COULD WE BE SUCH MONSTERS. I know. But we’re keeping this clean and simple and basic, and that’s that. I feel very very confident, though, that even the most furious among you will find a way to survive this horrible injustice.
