Another awards show, the Grammys, has come and gone with record low ratings.
And it’s a good thing those ratings were so low.
Many are calling the performance by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion the highlight of the night.
Both women barely clothed, on a stage made to look like a giant bed, graphically simulating sex acts while performing a song called Wet A** Pu**y, which is just a vulgar and graphic description of various sexual acts. And it was broadcast on primetime television to millions of homes, complete with closeup shots of the almost naked-women grinding their genitals together on the giant bed.

There was also some very sexy pole dancing on the stiletto heel of a giant shoe.
The song WAP, which usually goes by the acronym due to the vulgarity in the title alone, won Favorite Song in the Rap/Hip Hop category at the American Music Awards last year. The official music video is pretty much just a kinky fetish porn video. One which millions of children have access to on YouTube.
Critics call it vulgar. A decline in social priorities. A degradation of morality and values in American culture.
Woke progressives call it “female empowerment,” “sex-positive,” “provocative,” “iconic,” and “cultural advancement.”
Empowerment? Really? Just like JLo’s Super Bowl strip show was supposed to be empowering?
Am I supposed to feel empowered for being as sexualized and objectified as possible?
Am I supposed to feel empowered that vulgarity is socially acceptable and celebrated?
Am I supposed to feel empowered that this kind of hyper sexualized behavior is being normalized and that children are frequently exposed to it?
This isn’t empowering.
This is a milestone in the complete degradation of our society.
That a song explicitly describing and glorifying sex acts wins awards while celebrated “artists” simulate graphic sex acts on primetime television that is piped into the homes of millions of Americans is further proof that the priorities in our society are way off base.
But honestly, the WAP performance wasn’t the only vulgar part of the Grammys, which further speaks to the degradation of our societal priorities. Harry Styles, outspoken activist for gender fluidity, wore a penis banana necklace on a chain with a cross, along with multiple feather boas and gold glitter nail polish. He won an award for a song called Watermelon Sugar, which is a euphemism for several things, including a type of street heroine and performing oral sex on a woman while on her period. I guess I should be glad he didn’t act out that song as well.

But by all means, cancel Dr. Seuss for vague racial undertones.
Cancel Pepe Le Pew for sexual behavior.
Cancel the Muppets, Dumbo, and Peter Pan for being offensive.
