Peace Agreement To Include 8 or 9 More Arab Countries

It fractures me that this isn’t making headlines freaking EVERYWHERE right now.

During a White House signing ceremony on Tuesday, President Trump announced that the current peace agreement in Israel is expected to add between seven to nine additional Arab states. This is HUGE and precisely why Trump is being recommended for a Nobel Peace Prize.

This makes my eyes tear up with complete happiness and relief –

According to The Daily Caller:

Trump made the comments after formally signing peace agreements between Israel, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain. Known as the Abraham Accords, Trump and its other signatories hope it heralds “a new dawn for peace in the Middle East.”

Trump also said that he spoke with the King of Saudi Arabia and expects the country to join the agreement “at the right time,” according [to] Agence France Press (AFP).

“We’re here this afternoon to change the course of history,” Trump said in his remarks at the White House. “In Israel’s history there have only been two of these agreements, and now we have achieved two in a single month.”

I was making my rounds on Twitter and noticed a few tweets mentioning that Nancy Pelosi is suggesting this is Trump’s distraction of some sort? I swear, the man could walk on water and she’d deny how incredible he is. I’ve never seen someone more drop-kick-able.

It is in the foreseeably near future that other Arab states will join the agreement as well, according to Trump and the administration.

“Israelis, Emiratis and Bahrainis are already embracing one another,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said. “We are eager to invest in the future of partnership, prosperity and peace.”

Central to the peace agreements has been Israel’s halt on the annexation of land claimed by the Palestinian people, with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan thanking Netanyahu for pausing the move during his remarks at the White House.

“This initiative would not have been possible without the efforts of his excellency President Donald Trump and his team who worked hard and sincerely for us to get here,” he said, according to a translator. “Your Excellency, Prime Minister Netanyahu…Thank you for choosing peace and for halting the annexation of Palestinian territories.”

Saudi Arabia has even opened its airspace to Israeli airlines so the transit between the UAE and the Jewish state is easier.

Netanyahu also stated that there has been cooperation to combat the coronavirus pandemic amongst three nations.
