I don’t know about you, but I cannot even fathom the thought of this pandemic and all its associated madness lasting TWO MORE YEARS.
But that is exactly what the head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhan Ghebreyesus, said this week.

The Coronavirus pandemic could last for another two years, according to a World Health Organisation chief.
Director general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus described COVID-19 as a ‘once-in-a-century health crisis’.
He said globalization allowed the virus to spread quicker than the Spanish Flu did in 1918, but added that the world had the technology to stop it which wasn’t around a hundred years ago.
‘We hope to finish this pandemic (in) less than two years, especially if we can pool our efforts,’ he said Friday.
“We hope to finish this pandemic”? That’s an odd way to put it. This isn’t a Netflix show.
Anyway, I don’t know about you, but I have been finished with participating in the hysteria of the pandemic since mid-May.
I cannot handle being forced to wear a mask walking to my restaurant table, when I pass people in one or two seconds, but then be allowed to take my mask off and breathe all around people for an hour or more. MAKES ZERO SENSE.
I cannot handle two more years of completely nonsensical policies that are not based in science but motivated purely by politics and fear.
On a positive note, we do have the head of the WHO saying that lockdowns are NOT a long-term solution. Granted, the WHO is an organization that has proven itself to be politically motivated, but there are still a lot of people who listen to the WHO.
“Progress does not mean victory,” said Tedros.
“Even if we do have a vaccine, it wouldn’t end the pandemic on its own. We must all learn to manage and control this virus using the tools we have now, and make the adjustments to our daily lives that are needed to keep ourselves and each other safe,” he continued later in his speech.
“Lockdowns are not a long term solution”
“So-called lockdowns enabled many countries to suppress transmission and take the pressure off their health systems,” Tedros said.
“But lockdowns are not a long term solution for any country. We do not need to choose between lives and livelihoods or between health and the economy. That’s false choice. On the contrary, the pandemic is a reminder that health and the economy are inseparable,” he continued.
“WHO is committed to working with all countries to move into a new stage of opening their economies, societies, schools, and businesses safely. To do that, every single person must be involved. Every single person can make a difference. Every person, family, community and nation must make their own decisions based on the level of risk where they live,” he added.
The coronavirus has quickly become another top reason to vote for Trump. If Biden were to win, we know he would institute a national mask mandate. He also is willing and even sounds eager to lock down the economy again.
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden said he would do “whatever it takes” to combat the spread of coronavirus within the country — including locking down the U.S. if deemed necessary.
“I would shut it down; I would listen to the scientists,” Biden told ABC’s David Muir in a joint interview with his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris, to air Sunday. “We’re going to do whatever it takes to save lives.”
We cannot allow this to happen.
