Another Endorsement Rolls In For Rapper Kanye West’s Presidential Hype: Super Bowl Champion Darrelle Revis

After the utter sh*tshow 2020 has been so far, finally: A headline we deserve by virtue of our suffering.

Kanye West is running for president.

As with all major political correspondence in the year of our Lord 2020, the announcement was made via Twitter on Saturday night.

We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States 🇺🇸! #2020VISION

We are still waiting on a whole lot of information, like what West’s platform will be, what party he’ll run under, and if he and President Trump can reach an agreement to ditch Pence and make Kanye Trump’s running mate.

Or maybe Kanye will put up his own equally whimsical running mate. Maybe Elon Musk, who has already voiced his support for the rapper’s candidacy.

This is the presidential ticket we need right now. No, not because I believe either man would make a particularly good president, or even have a shot at winning the election. But 2020 has been such a CF so far, we deserve some amusement in the second half. For that, I thank you, Mr. Ye.

Kanye West’s claim that he plans on running for president in 2020 received support from a Super Bowl champion over the weekend.

Former defensive back Darrelle Revis was among those who appeared to back West’s idea to challenge President Trump and the presumptive Democrat nominee Joe Biden for the White House come November.

“Kanye has my vote,” Revis tweeted.

It was unclear whether Revis was trolling or stirring the pot with his tweet. Fans of the former New York Jets, New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback didn’t appear too happy with him over the plan to support the “Late Registration” star.

It’s not the first time West has claimed he is going to run for president. He said back in 2019, during his appearance at the Fast Company Innovation Festival in New York City, that he was planning to run in 2024.

“When I run for president in 2024, we’re going to definitely — yo, whatchu [sic] all laughing at?” he said at the time. “When I run for president in 2024, we would’ve created so many jobs that, in fact, I’m going to walk.”

Kanye has my vote.
