The Cuomo brothers have been front and center during the coronavirus pandemic. Chris Cuomo is a host on CNN, and his brother, Andrew Cuomo, is the governor of New York.
Their exchanges have been fun to watch even though I don’t particularly like either of these men. I imagine that if one of my sisters were the governor while I was a host of a show, our conversations would be pretty similar. I think a lot of people can relate to these two ribbing each other.
I’ve written about their banter before, here.
In their first interview, it was all about which son broke Dad’s curfew more, and who was the favorite son.
This second round between the two brothers had more to do with mom’s kitchen buddy and who has the secret recipe for their mother’s homemade sauce.
As Jennie reported today, Chirs Cuomo has tested positive for Coronavirus.
His statement on Twitter read:
“Sooooo, in these difficult times that seem to get more difficult and complicated by the day, I just found out that I tested positive for coronavirus. I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive, and I had fever, chills, and shortness of breath. I just hope that I didn’t give it to the kids and Cristina. That would make me feel worse than this illness! I am quarantined in my basement (which actually makes the rest of the family seem pleased!) I will do my shows from here. We will all beat this by being smart and tough and united.”
Governor Cuomo said in response to his brother testing positive for the virus, his brother is his “best friend” and that “he will be fine.”
"This virus is the great equalizer:"
