PM Benjamin Netanyahu has won his election despite the efforts of his far-left opponent.
Netanyahu faced a hard battle this time around, against Benny Gatz, who has ties to Obama. His opponents have similarly tormented Netanyahu like Trump has been treated by his opponents.
It is not shocking that Gatz has links to Obama when we see the similar tactics used to bring Netanyahu down.
With Boris Johnson winning a landslide victory and Netanyahu walking through the fire that was his campaign, the world in which Donald Trump could get elected a second time looks very promising.
Benjamin Netanyahu gave a victory speech in Tel Aviv, saying, “This is a night of huge victory for the Likud.” The Likud is the conservative political party with which Netanyahu is a member. Netanyahu spoke of his opponents’ loss, saying, “Our rivals said – the Netanyahu era is over, but together we turned it around, we made lemonade out of lemons.”
This is so powerful if you think about how many times the Jewish people have had to make lemonade out of lemons. These people have made it through wars and have been pushed to the brink of extinction, and yet they rise.
Netanyahu finishes his speech saying, “I spoke to all the leaders of the factions in the right-wing camp, the natural partners. Tomorrow we will come together to form a stable government, a national government that is good for the State of Israel.”
“It is time to stop the rounds of elections and form a government in Israel. It is time to unite, it is time for reconciliation. I intend to be the Prime Minister of all Israeli citizens, without exception,” Netanyahu said.
“I will continue to work on your behalf, for our wonderful people, for our amazing country,” he concluded.
