Greyhound will no longer allow Border Patrol to board their buses without a search warrant.  Border Patrol has boarded the buses to stop drug smuggling, illegal immigration, and human trafficking.  Greyhound will now put a sticker on all of their buses announcing that they do not consent to searches.

In the past, Greyhound has maintained that they had to cooperate with the Border Patrol, and they did allow them to board their buses.  However, a memo from Border Patrol was leaked to the press that said agents could not search buses without a warrant or consent based on the Fourth Amendment.  As a result of this leaked memo, Greyhound had an opening to cave to the pressure of ACLU and other immigration groups.  Greyhound will no longer consent to Border Patrol searching their buses.

In a statement, Greyhound said, “Our primary concern is the safety of our customers and team members, and we are confident these changes will lead to an improved experience for all parties involved.”

This is really a sickening lack of patriotism on the part of Greyhound.  What about the safety of all Americans?  Don’t we all have an interest in keeping unknown illegal immigrants and illegal drugs out of the country?

Greyhound has effectively just publicly announced to all drug smugglers, human traffickers, and illegal immigrants that Greyhound is their ticket across America, if they make it across the border.

The ACLU, of course, is very happy to hear this news.  Because, for some reason, enforcing our borders equals racism.   Because, everything is racism to the left these days.

“We are pleased to see Greyhound clearly communicate that it does not consent to racial profiling and harassment on its buses,” American Civil Liberties Union deputy director Andrea Flores told the AP. “By protecting its customers and employees, Greyhound is sending a message that it prioritizes the communities it serves.”

No one is asking Greyhound to act as ICE agents.  It would simply be nice if they cooperated for the common good of the country.  Thanks for nothing, Greyhound.
