It looks like the Democrats can now see the writing on the wall. Speaker Nancy Pelosi held a press conference today in which she telegraphed the new talking points of the Democratic party once President Trump is acquitted.
Expect to hear this line of thought A LOT.
Speaker Pelosi:
If Trump is acquitted, “he will not be acquitted. You cannot be acquitted if you don’t have a trial and you don’t have a trial if you don’t have witnesses and documentation…”

The reporter asked Speaker Pelosi, “When this is over, do you think President Trump will be chastened and understand that he’s got a Congress watching him or will he be emboldened because the Senate has acquitted him?
Nancy answered, “Well, he will not be acquitted. You cannot be acquitted if you don’t have a trial. And you don’t have a trial if you don’t have witnesses and documentation and that.”
Speaker Pelosi ought to notify C-SPAN and all the news networks that they are mislabeling their news coverage. It’s apparently not an Impeachment Trial y’all!
Ben Shapiro, as always, had a wonderfully sharp reply.
By Pelosi's standard, he was never impeached, since you can't have an impeachment without the key witnesses and documentation. So good news everyone: nothing has happened at all. https://t.co/jsQ79w6Vmn

Nancy continued to inflame, saying, “Does the president know right from wrong? I don’t think so.”

Nancy also had to point out, for the 1,000th time, that Trump will be impeached forever! She also strongly implied that if the Senate acquits Trump without witnesses, the House will take further actions.
Pelosi, ever prayerful, said, “”We are right now, prayerful and hopeful that the Senate will have the courage to hear the truth about the president’s action,” she said. “And then we’ll see what we do next.”
There certainly will be a next as Democrats have shown they will never let their goal of removing Trump from office die.
