Warren, Bernie, And Biden Threaten Not To Appear At Next Democrat Debate

Zoinks. 

According to the sourcelink, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Joe Biden are all threatening to skip the next debate, scheduled for the 19th of this month, because of a food service company’s labor dispute.

The debate is supposed to take place at Loyola Marymount, but Sodexo, the food services company that provides meals for the university employees and students, is being represented by Unite Here Local 11 union, and that union is picketing and trying to get a better contract.

So now?  Now we’ve got this happening:

I stand with the workers of @UniteHere11 on campus at Loyola Marymount University fighting Sodexo for a better contract. I will not be crossing their picket line.

Rumor has it that Julian Castro and Andrew Yang are also indicating that they’ll skip the debate.

No candidate for the Democratic nomination should cross a picket line.

Listen – if the debate gets canceled I’m certainly not gonna be upset about it – it’ll mean I can go to bed at a reasonable hour next Thursday, which I am a fan of.
