But it ties perfectly together with the NYT’s new project which I told you about right here. This is the Left’s strategy as a whole – focus on, belabor, obsess over, and repeatedly drill into the American conscience that our history has nothing of significance in it EXCEPT our racist, slave-holding roots.  It doesn’t matter that we’ve been a beacon of freedom for the world.  It doesn’t matter that we’ve been the most generous nation on the planet.  It doesn’t matter that we’ve offered more to people of EVERY color than any other country has in the history of the world.  It doesn’t matter to the Left.  They want to wallow and feel shame and endless guilt over the sins of the past, so that everyone hates America as much as they clearly do.

It’s disgusting.

The responses to my retweet of Beto’s speech excerpt have been AMAZING in their ignorance.  And this is just the tiniest of samples.  The retweet could actually end up getting ratioed simply because his supporters are so rabid.

That last one was my favorite.  🙂 Such a compelling argument, amirite?

This obsession with race is downright neurotic.  But sorry, Beta-lovers.  You’re never going to get me to stop believing in this country’s exceptionalism, you’re never going to get me on board your bizarre guilt-train, and you’re never going to convince me to feel down about the greatest nation on earth.  And it’s sick and wrong that that’s your goal.
