Yesterday, I told y’all that Robert O’Rourke was blaming Trump for the shootings that took place over the weekend. Unfortunately, he’s not the only Democrat candidate who’s taking that stance. Basically they ALL are. Mayor Pete, Bernie Sanders – you name a candidate, they’re pretty much saying Trump may as well have pulled the trigger himself. So, in case you had any doubt about whether every Democrat candidate is a pandering a-hole, welp – there’s more evidence for you.
Cory Booker used two TV interviews to make his case – the first with Chuck Todd, which you can see right here, in which he said the following (emphasis mine):
Obviously, we all are grieving for the victims, for their families, and for the people who are going to have very painful, long roads of recovery from gun violence. I just want to speak with moral clarity right now. Because I worry that we’re having conversations that don’t just focus on an understanding that we are all responsible to each other in this country. We have moral bonds and fabric of our country. We have a president of the United States who is particularly responsible. My faith has this idea that you reap what you sow. And he is sowing seeds of hatred in our country. And this harvest of hate violence that we’re seeing right now lies at his feet. When you have the president, from the highest moral office in our land, talking about invasions and infestations and shithole countries, the kinds of things that come out of his mouth that so harm the moral fabric of our nation, he is responsible. He’s responsible, when he has taken no action whatsoever to even condemn white supremacy, even when his own FBI is talking about this being sourcing major parts of our problem. So we have a president who is responsible, who is not taking that responsibility, and is doing nothing to address the deepening crisis in our country of this kind of violence.
He also interviewed with CNN’s Jake Tapper:
It’s just nauseating. Trump is as responsible for these shootings as Obama was for the mass shootings that took place under his presidency – which is to say NOT AT ALL RESPONSIBLE. When Booker and O’Rourke and others go on television to say these things out loud, they are literally doing precisely what they’re complaining about – sowing division, sowing hatred, breeding resentment, infuriating millions of people who know better than to think our president had anything to do with two insane lunatics deciding to gun down innocent people.
It was amazing to me to hear Bernie talk about this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpYsAnTuZuQ
Bernie says that language matters – that mentally unstable people see it as a sign to do terrible things. Yet Bernie is the very guy who constantly talks about people rising up and having a revolution. So…????
Jake even asked him about that a couple years ago, asking him if calls for revolution could be misinterpreted for calls for violence. And you know what Bernie said? He said that it, “goes without saying that violence is not part of that process.”
Oh – so it goes without saying when BERNIE uses inflammatory language that violence isn’t what he means, but when Trump says basically ANY WORDS AT ALL (because I have no idea what they’re even specifically pointing to), he is personally responsible for mass shootings.
Got it.
These Democrat candidates are despicable. Full stop.
