In today’s edition of “Donald Trump tweeted and everybody freaked out,” Donald Trump tweeted that Don Lemon is the “dumbest man on television” and the internet started screaming that Trump’s a racist.
Of course, Trump was immediately called “racist” for his attack on Lemon. As a society, we’re working really hard to dilute any meaning from that word.

Or, I don’t know, maybe Trump has a point that Don Lemon is a terrible “journalist” and the comment had nothing to do with Lemon’s race.
Right – Trump’s pretty equal opportunity when it comes to calling out members of the media.
Also, let’s take a walk through the prior winners of Trump’s “dumbest man on television” award.
2012:
2013:
2015:
Even a Fox News pundit made the list:
For the record, all of those guys are white.
Lawrence O’Donnell, Trump’s OG “dumbest man on television,” tried to call racism, but was quickly called out:
Bingo.
The takeaway here appears to be that it’s racist to say anything negative (even if it’s true) about a person of color if you happen to be white. In other words, if you’re white, you must treat people of color differently than you treat other white people… which is the definition of racism.
Got it?
