Students at the Massachusetts State House interrupted a Gold Star family ceremony this Wednesday, as they screamed for free college.
You know how they could all get free college? By joining the military. Not that any of these spineless grifters would cut it.
But sure- go ahead and disrespect those who HAVE made the ultimate sacrifice in order to scream for free stuff.
According to Campus Reform:
Students from the Public Higher Education Network of Massachusetts (PHENOM), participated in a five-day “occupation” of the Massachusetts State House, organized by Fund our Future and seven other groups, to protest budget cuts and funding shortfalls and also advocate for the “Debt Free Future Act,” which calls for “debt-free public higher education” in the state.
Debt-free = free to them. Have you considered working through college? That may be a debt-free solution, too. But of course, they’d have to take responsibility themselves, and that’s just not gonna work.
The fifth day of the protest, which was conducted by the Center for Education Policy and Advocacy and UMass Amherst’s student government, was live-streamed on Facebook with the protesters chanting things such as “No cuts! No fees! Education should be Free!” and “Fund UMass!”
“Get you a [UMass student government] President and Vice President that will sit-in for affordable public higher education!” tweeted Hayden Latimer-Ireland, vice president of the UMass student government, on the first day of the sit-in.
UMass student government President Timothy Sullivan features #BLM and #GreenNewDeal on his Twitter profile.
Honestly – if this is what happens when students go to college, then there’s no way our tax money should be going to indoctrinate them with extreme leftist propaganda.
This is infuriating.
