Rabbi Shot in Synagogue Shooting Praises Trump After Call: ‘He Was Just So Comforting, I’m Really Grateful to Our President’

WATCH: President Trump expresses condolences for victims of Synagogue shooting

Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein– one of those injured in the horrific attack on Chabad in Poway– recently recounted a conversation he had with President Trump.

Trump called and spoke to him for 10-15 minutes. Goldstein described Trump’s words as “comforting” and meaningful.

“He was just so comforting,” he said during a press conference. “I’m really grateful to our president for taking the time and making that effort to share with us his comfort and consolation.”

“He shared with me condolences on behalf of the United States of America,” he continued. “We spoke about the moment of silence. And he spoke about his love of peace and Judaism and Israel.”
