Christian Dem Candidate Pete Buttigieg Refuses To Condemn Late-Term Abortion

This is rich, especially because the left has decided that Pete Buttigieg is a great example of how Christians are supposed to act. Just ask MSNBC analyst Zerlina Maxwell. I think her exact words were, he’s “demonstrating how to actually be a Christian.”

“Jesus needs new PR. I always had that line growing up,” she said. “Because, honestly, I think what Mayor Pete is doing, he is demonstrating how to actually be a Christian, to embrace people, to be more compassionate. I think that’s an example that crosses partisan boundaries actually,” she said.

Pete recently appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe and was asked about how he deals with questions and concerns regarding late-term abortion.

“Mayor Pete your candidacy has now peaked the interests of religious conservatives…They like you. But they get to the point where they look down your resumé and they say life is precious. They talk about the sanctity of life and they can’t get past your support of late-term abortion. What do you say to them?” Willie Geist asked.

And right there, Christian Pete adamantly condemned late-term abortion.  HAHAHAHAHA just kidding. That didn’t happen. Like at all.

“The premise of the question is very misleading. We’re talking about situations where the life and health of the mother is at risk and/or the child can’t survive. Look, you only get to that stage, that late moment, if you had been planning to bring a pregnancy to term,” he claimed.

Except…that’s not what feminists say. They want to be able to murder their child at any time for any reason. Stop playing dumb. As LifeNews points out:

Buttigieg’s claims here simply not true. The term “late-term” is imprecise but most understand it to occur in the third trimester or even as late as the 37th week of pregnancy, when a baby is full term. Medical advances have made it so that babies have a high chance of surviving if forced to deliver in the third trimester due to serious complications. What Buttigieg is also suggesting is irrelevant because state laws that limit Roe v. Wade have exceptions in cases where the mother’s life is at risk. Beyond that, according to the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute, most women who had late-term abortions didn’t do so over health concerns, but because the baby was an unwanted interference in their life.

Pete, who is supposedly an astounding example of how Christians should act, refuses to condemn the brutal murder of babies.

He’s basically saying this would add another government layer to a deeply personal decision.

Wrong. This is about the government actually fulfilling one of its duties by protecting LIFE.

It’s not a “personal decision.” It’s murder. Say it, Pete. Condemn it.
