I mean, dang Bernie. You have no room to preach at any of us ever again.
I’ll give him props for one thing and one thing ONLY. He willingly participated in a town hall-style interview with Fox News’ Martha MacCallum and Bret Baier. He had to know difficult questions were coming his way.
At one point, MacCallum brought up Bernie’s high tax dreams and asked why he isn’t setting an example by giving away over half his income. Who cares if the government isn’t forcibly taking it? If you really believe the government deserves half of your paycheck, write a check to the IRS. I guarantee it won’t reject it.
Bernie’s response?
“You can volunteer too…why don’t you give? You make more money than I do,” he said.
Um….Martha isn’t the one suggesting that we all need to throw wads of cash at the government, you moron.
“I didn’t suggest a wealth tax,” she replied.
Bam.
MacCallum: “So would you be willing to pay 52% on the money that you made? You can volunteer, you can send it back”
Bernie: “You can volunteer too…why don’t you give? You make more money than I do”
M: “I didn’t suggest a wealth tax”

Basically.
She’s not promising to give away free stuff and demanding that the rich pay their “fair share.” YOU are Bernie. Practice what you preach.
It’s as I said before. Generally speaking, liberals suck at being charitable on their own. That’s why they want the government to tax us more. That way, the government can be charitable FOR us. It’s just too hard to do it yourself, isn’t it, Bernie?
