Ocasio-Cortez Drops New Excuse for ‘Racist’ Accent, She Wanted to Satisfy Her Critics

As is evident by how incredibly angry she gets whenever she finds out someone’s not a big fan of hers, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez really, REALLY wants to be liked.

Because of it, she’s become a pandering machine.

Hannah told you about her “the world us our garden” crap yesterday.

Only things we *can’t* plant are sunflowers🌻, corn🌽 , mint🌱, & strawberries🍓.

In that post, Hannah asked if she would have said this in a southern accent.

Well, she actually stepped it up a notch. AOC is raising some eyebrows for pulling out what some consider a “black” accent while talking to a black audience on Friday.

Many black Americans, on BOTH sides spoke up against her. Why did she feel the need to dumb down her language for them? Is this not the EPITOME of racism?

Well, she came up with some lame excuse… and it’s as ridiculous as you’d expect.

According to Daily Wire:

Ocasio-Cortez, who was condemned by many African-Americans for using the accent, initially claimed that those who were calling her out for the accent were trying to “distort” and “deflect” and that it was all a conspiracy theory.

The 29-year-old congresswoman — who regularly refers to those on the political Right as racists, white supremacists, and xenophobes — added that it was “so hurtful” that people would criticize her for using an accent.

As much as the right wants to distort & deflect, I am from the Bronx. I act & talk like it, *especially* when I’m fired up and especially when I’m home.

It is so hurtful to see how every aspect of my life is weaponized against me, yet somehow asserted as false at the same time.

Also, wake me up when she comes up with something other than “OMG RACISM!” It’s getting very old.

Ocasio-Cortez’s claims that she used the voice during a speech about then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and at a speech at the Women’s March were quickly debunked.

On Saturday, Ocasio-Cortez quickly adopted an excuse that some of her supporters used in their defense of her, claiming that she was “code-switching.”

Yup. So that’s what she’s going with now. She’s not a pandering racist moron. She’s just “code-switching!”

Next time you‘re told straight hair is “unprofessional” & that speaking like your parents do is “uneducated,” then you can complain about code-switching.

Um. Code-switching is the very definition of pandering.

But whatever. I probably just think that because I’m not “woke.”

The good news is that we can improve this easily w/ honest reflection.

Can you think of someone who didn’t advance bc of how they spoke? Why?

Examine what’s deemed “unprofessional” around you & adapt it to 2019.

Switching speech to sound more professional and thus trustworthy of someone’s business is not the same as switching to a terrible black accent to appease a black audience. But keep rambling on trying to justify yourself if that’s what you need to sleep at night
