‘Captain America’ Doesn’t Care If He Alienates Half His Audience By Publicly Loathing Trump

Chris Evans just can’t stop. When he isn’t attempting to lecture conservatives on their innate intolerance or whining about the planet’s natural cycles, he’s publicly hating Trump. Oh– and he doesn’t care who he alienates in the process.

Smart entertainers should keep their opinions to themselves, because they exist to entertain everyone, regardless of political ideology. Evans simply cannot do that. He would be doing a disservice to his country! Everyone must know that he loathes President Trump, because he’s morally superior and, um, #reasons.

“You don’t want to alienate half your audience,” Evans told the Hollywood Reporter. “But I’d be disappointed in myself if I didn’t speak up. Especially for fear of some monetary repercussion or career damage — that just feels really gross to me.”

It’s also really gross to spread #FakeNews and unfounded rage when you have such a tremendous influence on culture, but mmmkay.

He didn’t stop there, either. You see, Evans is a New England Patriots fan, which is probably one of the reasons I found him more appealing than he actually is IRL. New England sports for life. However, Evans isn’t so sure if he can support the GOAT anymore, because Brady might still like Trump.

“I really hope he’s not a Trump supporter,” Evans said. “I’m just hoping he’s one of those guys that maybe supported him and now regrets it. Maybe he thought it was going to be different — and even that bothers me — but maybe there’s a chance now he just thinks Trump’s an absolute dumb sh*t, which he is. If he doesn’t, if he’s still on that Trump train, I might have to cut ties. It’s really tough.”

It’s still unclear what Evans considers “dumb sh*t” material. What constitutes a “dumb sh*t” exactly? Standing up for Israel by recognizing Jerusalem as the capital as well as acknowledging Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights? Appointing two constitution-respecting Supreme Court justices? Causing a historic soar in consumer confidence? Saving the middle class money via tax cuts and ditching Obamacare’s unconstitutional individual mandate penalty? Significant GDP growth? Calling out the UN for refusing to address countries with egregious human rights violations? Stopping the flow of drugs and crime from the southern border and continuing to make it a priority? Putting America first?

Id’ say screaming at the sun, advocating for abortion and listening to notoriously deceitful networks and politicians are markings of a “dumb sh*t.” I’m assuming Evans can do the math on that one.
