Chris Evans is living proof that you can be 1.) Hot and 2.) “Captain America” and still be a mindless liberal dolt. Back to that in a second.
The other night, Tucker Carlson did an awesome segment on the REALITY of diversity.
Tucker Carlson really really really really does not like living in a diverse country pic.twitter.com/iLpMr6QrNV
— Andrew Lawrence (@ndrew_lawrence) September 8, 2018
He got a TON of backlash for it and followed up with this explanation on Twitter:
1/6 The organized left is lying about a segment we did on Friday night. Our topic was "diversity is our strength," a phrase our leaders use to end conversation rather than spur it. You hear it all the time. We asked, what exactly does it mean? Is it true?
— Tucker Carlson (@TuckerCarlson) September 9, 2018
2/6 Here are the words from our segment: "How precisely is diversity our strength? Can you think of other institutions, such as marriage or military units, in which the less people have in common, the more cohesive they are?"
— Tucker Carlson (@TuckerCarlson) September 9, 2018
3/6 "Do you get along better with your neighbors and coworkers if you can't understand each other, or share no common values? And if diversity is our strength, why is it OK for the rest of us to surrender our freedom of speech to just a handful of tech monopolies?"
— Tucker Carlson (@TuckerCarlson) September 9, 2018
4/6 These are the questions our leaders out to be asking every day. How does a nation of 325 million people hang together? What do we all have in common as Americans? Why should we remain a country? Nothing is more important than answering this.
— Tucker Carlson (@TuckerCarlson) September 9, 2018
5/6 But our leaders aren't even asking these questions. Instead they're trying to silence anyone who raises them, while at the same time promoting mindless tribalism for political expedience. Division keeps them in power.
— Tucker Carlson (@TuckerCarlson) September 9, 2018
6/6 What's at stake isn't a cable news segment. It's the existence of rational conversation in America. If they can prevent you from asking honest questions, there's nothing they can't do. More on this tomorrow night.

There’s a big difference between division and diversity. That was the point he was trying to make. That brings me back to Chris Evans.
This is baffling. Diversity shows us where our experiences overlap. It teaches us to recognize commonality before differences. It breeds empathy. It combats fear. It makes us better. It’s what our country is built on. The bigger concern is what would we become WITHOUT diversity. https://t.co/e78Yun4UUT

Cue Chris Loesch:
Actually we called our country a melting pot. It means that we took the best parts of world cultures and made them our own, we didn’t invite people to come here and identify as separated or hyphenated Americans. We are supposed to be E Pluribus Unum, no E Pluribus Pluribus! https://t.co/S2kgtHDkf8
— Chris Loesch (@ChrisLoesch) September 11, 2018
Couldn’t say it better myself. We’re a MELTING pot. People came here seeking better lives and brought their experiences and MELTED to build a country with common values. We’re not saying diversity is bad. Deliberate DIVISION is bad. Identity politics is bad, and that’s all the left is interested in these days.
Quite so! But "diversity" is required to play identity politics, soooo . . .

Diversity blah blah blah commonality blah blah blah empathy blah blah blah.
Evans thinks he's smart while babbling nonsensical wordsalad.— Vern Demerest (@TxAv8r) September 11, 2018
I for one want to go back to the “melting pot” model where we are all Americans no matter where our families originated from
— Joe Williamson (@JoeWilliamsonTX) September 11, 2018
Diversity is a weakness if people who come here don’t integrate & don’t believe in the Constitution and the work ethic.
— The Cheese (@colbymonterey) September 11, 2018
What made America unique was that our culture was not built on race or ethnicity or cuisine or fashion, but on ideals, ideals that anyone could share.
Diversity of race, ethnicity, cuisine, and fashion enhances America.
Compromise on the ideals destroys America.— submandave (@submandave) September 11, 2018
America is a delicious fondue, not a salad!
(Love salads btw)

@ChrisEvans , I don't think a vibranium shield is gonna deflect that one….
— Riccardo Palagi (@iamricpalagi) September 11, 2018
He is just ruining Captain America for me.

Ugh. Same.
