Otto Warmbier’s Family Responds To President Trump’s Remarks On Kim Jong-un

President Trump caught a bunch of heat after telling reporters that he confronted Kim Jong-un about Otto Warmbier’s death. Trump said Kim Jong-un didn’t know about Otto’s case until after the fact and that he believed him.

As I said before, I understand what Trump was trying to say, but even if Kim Jong-un didn’t know about it specifically, HIS SYSTEM DID IT. His officials did it. The evil regime is responsible, and Kim Jong-un is leader of the evil regime. Perhaps it’s true that he didn’t know about it specifically. Perhaps he didn’t do the actual torturing, but it doesn’t change anything.

North Korea is responsible.

Otto Warmbier’s parents, Fred and Cindy, have responded:

“We have been respectful during the summit process. Now we must speak out. Kim and his evil regime are responsible for the death of our son Otto. Kim and his evil regime are responsible for unimaginable cruelty and inhumanity. No excuses or lavish praise can change that.”

It hurt them to hear Trump say that he believed Kim Jong-un.

All of this has to be so tough for the Warmbiers. I can’t even imagine their pain.
