President Trump decided to walk away from the negotiations with Kim Jong-un. There’s no deal. Kim Jong-un wanted him to lift sanctions, and Trump was all, “No way dude. Give up all your nukes. YEAH. We know about all of them.”
During the press conference, Trump answered a question about Otto Warmbier. He said he asked Kim Jong-un about the case, and he (Chubby Dictator) claims he didn’t know about it until after the fact.
President Trump says he has confronted Kim Jong Un about the death of American college student Otto Warmbier, who was detained in North Korea. But he doesn’t believe Kim knew about what happened: “I don’t believe that he would have allowed that to happen…He felt badly about it” pic.twitter.com/f4ePXAnTp8

President Trump says he doesn’t believe North Korea’s top leadership knew about what happened to Otto Warmbier: “Those prisons are rough, and bad things happen, but I really don’t believe [Kim Jong Un] knew about it.” https://t.co/5E2dEfRyEa pic.twitter.com/NeN6XUMFlD

I get what he’s saying. North Korea is at fault– no doubt– but there’s a solid chance “top” North Korean leadership didn’t know about it or pay attention. After all, they were probably busy enough torturing their OWN people. I don’t think it’s something Kim Jong-un truly feels bad about, but I also don’t believe he had anything to gain from that happening. Therefore, it’s believable that he wasn’t DIRECTLY involved.
I don’t trust him, but I get what Trump is saying.
