February 25, 2019Trump jabs? At the Oscars? Say it isn’t so!
No one should be shocked by this.
Last night, actor Javier Bardem decided to take a jab at Trump by dropping a ridiculously virtue-signaly line about walls being unable to “restrain ingenuity and talent.”
He told the crowd (in Spanish) that “there are no borders or walls that can restrain ingenuity and talent.”
“In any region of any country of any continent, there are always great stories that move us,” he said.
“And tonight we celebrate the excellence and importance of the cultures and languages of different countries,” he added.

For crying out loud. Just because we want a secure border doesn’t mean we HATE people from other countries. I’M SO SICK OF HAVING TO SAY THAT.
Exactly why I don't watch Awards shows anymore, they have to ruin it by putting their two cents in on politics, it's a show for entertainment not politics.

Bardem’s comments weren’t the only “wall” knock during the Oscars telecast — comedian Maya Rudolph kicked off the ceremony by quipping to the audience, “Mexico is not paying for the wall.”
UGH. Not you too, Maya.
That’s why I don’t watch the Oscars.
