Former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe has a big “bombshell” interview airing on “60 Minutes” this weekend, but we already have a preview.
One of the biggest takeaways so far? McCabe said Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein was dead serious about secretly wearing a wire to “catch” President Trump.
.@ScottPelley says McCabe told him the suggestion that Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein wear a wire into the WH to record potentially incriminating conversations with the president “came up more than once and it was so serious that he took it to the lawyers at the FBI to discuss it.” pic.twitter.com/Dk5fuS0H1m

Incredibly, Mr. Rosenstein STILL hasn’t been questioned by Congress on his “joke” about wearing a wire on @RealDonaldTrump in the Oval Office or about his discussion to try to remove him from office. pic.twitter.com/F6y1yQlPF7

Surprise surprise. Rosenstein is denying it.
Notice that it says Rosenstein didn’t “authorize” recording Trump. No one accused him of actually doing it, but did he seriously discuss it REPEATEDLY? It certainly doesn’t sound like it was a “joke.”
Who to believe? Swamp Creature #1 or Swamp Creature #2?
