The Patriots won the Super Bowl (again) last night. It was a relatively boring game. There was only one touchdown in the entire game. The NFC and AFC championship games were way more exciting.
I know a lot of people hate the Patriots, but it’s truly an incredible organization. They have that magic mix. Kraft, Belichick and of course, Tom Brady. They take “nobodies” and make them stars. Don’t forget– Brady was a lanky sixth round draft pick. I absolutely love the story Kraft tells about their first interaction:
“I still have the image of Tom Brady coming down the old Foxboro stadium steps with that pizza box under his arm, a skinny beanpole, and when he introduced himself to me and said ‘Hi Mr. Kraft,’ he was about to say who he was, but I said ‘I know who you are, you’re Tom Brady. You’re our sixth round draft choice.’ And he looked me in the eye and said ‘I’m the best decision this organization has ever made.’ It looks like he could be right.”
Kraft told that story in 2012. Since then, the Pats have tucked away 3 more Super Bowl victories.
Anyway. Some people are still upset that the Patriots won again. Dan Crenshaw has a solution:
Should someone propose a 70% tax on the Patriots so that NFL competition is more fair and equal? Asking for a friend.

Obviously the Patriots win too much. We must punish them for winning so other people have a chance.
