Maxine Waters DEMANDS Reporter Racial Quotas

Remember when the “Dream” was to judge people by the content of their character?

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

Is it me… or are we moving AWAY from this? Why do I feel like more and more, the Left wants to focus EXCLUSIVELY on the color of people’s skin? As “diversity” becomes the central talking point, are we truly focusing on the content of people’s character? …or has that become secondary?

CBS is coming under fire from Democrats who DEMAND CBS take the COLOR OF PEOPLE’S SKIN into consideration ABOVE ALL.

…because that’s where we’re at.

According to this: 

Democrat congresswoman Maxine Waters met with CBS News representatives Tuesday to discuss what appears to be a plan to impose racial quotas on the 91-year-old news corporation.

CBS admitted they had a lot of work to do & committed to including Blacks on their 2020 election team & all other teams.

The meeting occurred a day after the race-obsessed Democrat complained on Twitter about the network’s alleged lack of black reporters on its 2020 election campaign coverage team.

According to far-left Democrats like Waters and newly elected House representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the pursuit of racial justice mandates that certain racial quotas be met:

CBS, the efforts on your website about your support for diversity fly in the face of your display of all of the reporters you’ve selected for the 2020 campaign. Not one Black. What’s up with this? An explanation is needed.

This WH admin has made having a functional understanding of race in America one of the most important core competencies for a political journalist to have, yet @CBSNews hasn’t assigned a *single* black journalist to cover the 2020 election.

So, can only BLACK people have a “functional understanding of race in America?” Is that what she’s saying?

And why is it that the left only ever throws tantrums about there not being enough BLACK inclusion and “representation.” They realize black Americans make up about 15% of the population, right? What about Indians, Asians and Hispanics?

Nope. “Diversity” MEANS BLACK PEOPLE.

“CBS News’ decision to not include Black reporters on their 2020 Election news team further proves the voting power and voices of Black America continue to be undervalued,” the NAACP said in a statement released Tuesday afternoon, hours before the California congresswoman’s meeting.

“As the voting bloc that will most certainly determine the direction of this country in the upcoming election, it is vital any and all media outlets have a diverse newsroom, including individuals of color in decision making positions to speak to and address the issues and concerns directly impacting the Black community.”

“Representation matters and the media needs our coverage on the issues to drive the discussion.”

It’s unclear why the NAACP believes votes from black Americans will have a greater impact on the next election than votes from whites, Asians, Hispanics and other racial/ethnic groups.

Again… “content of character” or even just TALENT AND SKILL simply don’t matter anymore – as long as all the racial boxes are being checked.
