January 15, 2019I never thought I’d be writing so much about burgers today, but here we are.
The Washington Post has a huge article up today titled, “Trump has turned the White House into a White Castle’: President roasted for serving Clemson fast food.”
It’s dripping with snobbery.
In the center of the historic room that has hosted royalty, foreign dignitaries and celebrities, a long mahogany table gleamed under the glow of an enormous golden chandelier. A pair of ornate candelabras holding tapered white candles sat on the table amid numerous silver serving platters piled high with what Trump described as “Great American food.”
Boxes of McDonald’s Quarter Pounders, Big Macs and Filet-O-Fish sandwiches were stacked in neat rows next to pyramids of packaged salads. The Wendy’s girl and her wholesome grin decorated mounds of wraps. Silver gravy boats overflowed with packets of dipping sauce for Chicken McNuggets. On a separate table, Domino’s pizzas and french fries repackaged in cups bearing the presidential seal basked under what appeared to be heat lamps.
The article basically details the thoughts of every bitter late night host who mocked Trump over the spread.
WaPo is clearly disgusted that Trump enjoys eating fast food and serving fast food. Oddly enough, WaPo didn’t feel that way in 2014. Anyone remember this?
Despite the White House’s emphasis on healthy eating and Obama’s assertion that his favorite food is broccoli (I mean, really), Obama has a habit of taking people out for burgers and fries. Often that person is Biden. Just two guys grabbing some burgers, right? Obama suggested that he might have a burger for his 50th birthday in 2011. A blogger apparently nicknamed named him “President Obeef” because of his well-documented penchant for cheeseburgers. Michelle Obama also sometimes ditches the healthy eating and, like the rest of us, splurges on fast food.
Did I not call that SO MANY TIMES earlier today? Libs were all, “Wow! They eat fast food just like us!”
Contrast that with the tone of today’s article.
That’s everything you need to know about the dishonest media. Burgers are cool when Obama eats them, but when Trump eats and serves them, it’s a disgusting embarrassment to the country.
