House Democrat Reintroduces Articles Of Impeachment Against President Trump

One day. They couldn’t even make it one whole day.

Democratic Rep. Brad Sherman was so excited about his party taking over the House of Representatives that he quickly reintroduced articles of impeachment against President Trump.

All bills introduced and not passed in 2017 and 2018 expired today at noon. So filing Articles is necessary to avoid taking a step backward.

The articles of impeachment accuse Trump of “obstructing justice by firing former FBI Director James B. Comey, among other wrongdoing.”

“There is no reason it shouldn’t be before the Congress,” Sherman said. “Every day, Donald Trump shows that leaving the White House would be good for our country.”

Pelosi isn’t ruling out impeachment, but it doesn’t sound like she’s interested in pursuing it right now. She wants to wait to see if Trump’s indicted.

I’m sure a lot of people within her party– Maxine Waters and Rashida Tlaib particularly–aren’t too happy about that.

It’s something she’s going to have to deal with head on. There’s a big chunk of her party that wants to impeach Trump. They’re not going to be happy if she drags her feet.

I say do it, Dems. Show the American people how utterly useless and petty you all are. It’ll help us in 2020.
