Nancy Pelosi says House Democrats are going to move to reopen the government as soon as they officially take control of the House. Pelosi claims they’re going to “pass strong, bipartisan legislation to reopen government.” She says it already has “strong bipartisan support in the Senate.”
“We are giving the Republicans the opportunity to take yes for an answer. Senate Republicans have already supported this legislation, and if they reject it now, they will be fully complicit in chaos and destruction of the President’s third shutdown of his term,” Pelosi stated.
Just one problem. Neither of the bills contain $5 billion for the wall, which means they’re not going to work.
Trump called Pelosi out directly.

Sarah Sanders responded to Pelosi’s “offer,” calling it a “non-starter.”
“President Trump made a serious, good faith offer to Democrats to open the government, address the crisis at our border, and protect all Americans. We have heard nothing back from the Democrats, who so far have refused to compromise,” Sanders stated.
“Speaker Designate Nancy Pelosi released a plan that will not re-open the government because it fails to secure the border and puts the needs of other countries above the needs of our own citizens,” she continued. “The Pelosi plan is a non-starter because it does not fund our homeland security or keep American families safe from human trafficking, drugs, and crime.”
Darn straight, Sarah!
