As Mock mentioned this morning, Kevin Hart has stepped down from hosting the Oscars after he caused outrage for some past “homophobic” tweets.
I have made the choice to step down from hosting this year’s Oscar’s….this is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many amazing talented artists. I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past.

I’m sorry that I hurt people.. I am evolving and want to continue to do so. My goal is to bring people together not tear us apart. Much love & appreciation to the Academy. I hope we can meet again.

The “homophobic” tweets were from 2011. Comedians were still allowed to make jokes back in 2011, so while I’m not necessarily a Kevin Heart fan, I think this is all ridiculous. He made jokes. Some people didn’t like the jokes. Now he’s enemy number 1?
NO PART OF ME intended to watch a bunch of liberal blowhards pat each other on the back anyway, so I don’t really CARE who hosts this lib-fest.
Billy Eichner has a vomit-worthy suggestion to host, but honestly? I like Janice Dean’s much, MUCH better.
Why not just cancel the #oscars altogether? Would anyone really miss it?

YAASSSSSSSSS!!!!
Amen! CNN/MSNBC et al would certainly mourn the juicy bites they run ad nauseam, but I’m confident they can find other hateful diatribes to fill the time.

I know I wouldn’t. I haven’t watched it in many years.

Why would I subject myself to hours of ridicule, scorn and contempt from complete strangers? No other industry pats itself on the back and expects the nation to applaud. Let them eat cake

That settles it.
JUST CANCEL ‘EM.
