Seriously, Geraldo? Seriously?
On Monday, Geraldo decided to make a passionate plea on behalf of migrants at the border– the same migrants who are throwing rocks at Border Patrol agents while using the few women and children who are there as human shields.
“I refuse to deal with this as a media issue because it is far too important. This goes to to my soul. Fulfilling my role as the designated pinata on Fox News, I am ashamed,” he said.
“We treat these refugees as if they are zombies from The Walking Dead. We arrested 42 people, eight of them were women with children. We have to deal with this problem humanely and with compassion. These are not invaders. Stop using these military analogies. This is absolutely painful to watch,” he continued.
Um…did you see the video of those men storming the border and throwing rocks at Border Patrol? THAT is painful to watch. Our people shouldn’t have to deal with that.
“We are a nation of immigrants. These are desperate people,” he added. “They walked 2,000 miles. Why? Because they want to rape your daughter or steal your lunch? No. Because they want a job. They want to fill the millions of unfilled jobs we have in the agriculture sector, they want to wash dishes, the want to deliver the pizzas. For goodness sake.”
That is NOT the truth across the board, and he knows it.
Two words: Kate Steinle. Think about HER and the other Americans who’ve lost their lives because of this lawlessness. Enough is enough. Have compassion on the American people for a change.
“Of course there has to be a process but we need a process that recognizes that they are part of our continent. We can pay attention to our neighbors for goodness sake. How have we destabilized these governments over the decades?” he continued.
Cool. Blame us for their problems. Keep going, Geraldo. Your suck is really showing.
His co-hosts put him to bed.
“You have people throwing rocks that border patrol agents and there’s about 100 of them climbing the wall, taunting, trying to breach and you have three or four border patrol agents on the other side. De-escalation tactics call for you to disperse a little tear gas to de-escalate the situation,” Jesse Watters said.
He added: ‘This is law enforcement 101. They are not doing anything illegal.’
Kennedy was next up, stating: ‘The people throwing rocks and bottles and putting children’s lives at risk, as individuals, they should be ashamed of themselves.
‘What’s going to happen, it’s going to justify the hard-line immigration tactics that members of this administration would like to impose. That’s a very, unintended consequence of that behavior.’
And in what has been a key talking point for Fox News hosts across the network, Dana Perino responded by making reference to Barack Obama’s deportation of migrants.
If people want to come here, come THE RIGHT WAY. That’s all we ask.
The gassing of #MigrantCaravan made me nauseous. Those images may play w the base, but they will also be a scar on our nation’s reputation. A hungry, frightened family will not stop trying to get to a better life. No, we can’t accommodate all, but we can be humane & compassionate

Both political parties have decided to leave border crisis unresolved. They must get off their asses. 1-build the wall; 2-give amnesty to Dreamers; 3-re-start Bracero-type temporary worker programs; 4-invest in neighboring nations to improve conditions & keep their people home.

1 last thought before I become Designated Piñata on @TheFive. We must stop demonizing desperate economic refugees. We treat them as if they were escaped felons or zombies from the Walking Dead. They are poor people looking for work & a better life. Criminals don’t need caravans.

Just stop.
