Actor Gerard Butler was among those whose home was completely decimated by the California wildfires.
Returned to my house in Malibu after evacuating. Heartbreaking time across California. Inspired as ever by the courage, spirit and sacrifice of firefighters. Thank you @LAFD. If you can, support these brave men and women at https://t.co/ei7c7F7cZx. pic.twitter.com/AcBcLtKmDU

1/2 Driving around Point Dume on Saturday. My heart aches for all those who lost their homes and their lives in California. I was one of the lucky ones, my home was only partially destroyed. A lot of people lost everything and will have to rebuild from scratch. (tweet continued) pic.twitter.com/cS4UTlRR00

2/2 I am ok and so grateful for all of the well wishes. Please turn your support to those who need it most here, and throughout California. There’s a Go Fund Me to help people across the state affected by the fires. Please join me if you can. https://t.co/ghkHkoZqUw

This is absolutely heartbreaking.
Yes. He has money. This will be “easier” on him than on many others. But there are things money can’t buy – and there is no question this is horrific.
As I mentioned earlier, James Woods helped Alyssa Milano out, despite their SIGNIFICANT political differences. So surely we’re going to see a lot more of that, right?
People coming together in times of tragedy?
Well…not for Gerard.
Gerard is being told he DESERVES this… for –get this– supporting Israel.
BRING ON THE HATE:

This is nature’s way of teaching u how one feels when a home is destroyed, lost or snatched.
And u raised money for IDF who do this to Palestinians every day.
Enjoy Rebuilding.
Hope u learnt something.— Bull’s Eye (@iTsTaLaT) November 12, 2018
Yes, except Butler’s home wasn’t wiped out because he launched rockets at his neighbor…so there’s that.

I just find it ironic that you think what happened to you heartbreaking but funding Isreali army to do the same to Palestinian homes lol.

What you are experiencing here is everyday life for the people of Palestine. Maybe your friends in the IDF will return your fund-raising efforts.

The question is why did you raise 60 millions dollars money to the IDF that destroys Palestinian homes?!
— مصطفیٰ کمال بلتستانیؔ (@Awulpa) November 12, 2018
Sweet Jesus Gerard…you could almost be Palestinian now (without $60 million) Hail Hail!!

After raising money for Israel #karma

Now turn your attention to the poor people of Palestine, that have to endure bombings and snipers day in and day out from Israeli forces!

@GerardButler I’m so glad you’re OK. That looks like a war zone. Kind of like the literal WAR ZONE of Palestine that you are causing with YOUR support for the Israeli IDF. #WTF Gerard? I used to have respect for you. https://t.co/sSuaGTZCuYhttps://t.co/J3uQstTB0N
