I gotta tell ya. I’ve been in SPORTS HEAVEN over the past few weeks. I went to my first Red Sox game a few weeks ago, and it was amazing. The best part was eating peanuts and singing Sweet Caroline with the crowd at Fenway. I was in HEAVEN.
And now they’re in the World Series? HECK YES. On top of that, Bruins hockey is back and we’re in the middle of football season.
There’s something sports-related to watch almost every night, and that makes me happy.
So YES. I’m watching the NFL. The national anthem protests haven’t seemed to be a really big issue this year, and I’m glad. I’m annoyed that the NFL was too chicken to implement a LEGIT policy, but whatever.
However, there’s been a tad bit of drama behind the scenes. During a coin toss ahead of the Eagles/Panthers game, Panthers safety Eric Reid went nuts on Eagles player Malcolm Jenkins.
You see, Reid is totally into the national anthem protests, but Jenkins has taken a different approach. He’s actually DID something by raising $100 million dollars to an organization that helps black communities.

Sold you out? How so?
This just goes to show that he doesn’t care about the ACTUAL ISSUES. He just wants to have a good time kneeling. At least Jenkins is DOING something to advance the cause he believes in.
